Greenside unknown report — August 7, 2004

The Greenside report concerns 7 August 2004 in the Newcastle upon Tyne area. The annual MoD summary says only that alien sightings were reported above a house. Later released correspondence clarifies that a man contacted Northumbria Police about sightings above his address. Whickham Police Station passed the report to the Ministry of Defence in a letter dated 10 August. A 15 March 2005 response to an information request explains the surviving record’s limits: apart from the man’s name and address, no further event details had been provided. Those personal details were withheld. The correspondence therefore adds an identifiable reporting chain, but does not supply the beings’ appearance, a vehicle shape, time, duration, direction or number of objects.
