Skegness unknown report — April 9, 2007

The original MoD reporting form gives 9 April 2007 at 9 p.m. for this Skegness observation. The witness was in a car travelling through the town and watched with the naked eye. The object appeared as a dark, low silhouette, quite flat, with edges curving slightly downward. The form records clear conditions rather than supplying a detailed manufactured shape. The observer estimated that the object was initially half a mile away. It then moved toward the car and appeared larger, before retreating to its original position. Another field describes rapid movement across the sky followed by back-and-forth motion. These important sequence details were omitted from the short annual-register entry. The record does not establish a measured object size or a verified distance. The word figure appears among alternative descriptions of the silhouette; no occupant or humanoid anatomy is described. The available form records the report without identifying its cause. Witness likeness, exact road and hull details remain unrecorded. The reconstruction therefore shows a motorist, the flattened dark shape and its town setting, without introducing a spacecraft cabin or aliens.
