Thule Air Force Base Greenland reported light formation observation — April 15, 1952

On or during April 15, 1952, at or near Thule Air Force Base Greenland, Greenland, the source reports the following sequence: AIR INTELLIGENCE INFORMATION REPORT 28 April 1952 The following message was received from C.O., Thule Air Base, Greenland: On 15 April 1952 at approximately 0100 hours, GMT, an object described as a bright light, approximately three times brighter than the brightest star in the sky, was observed by employees in United States Air Force as Arctic Rescue experts, States they saw the light coming from the south over the horizon, traveling in a northerly direction at a very high rate of speed, that the object was at an extremely high altitude, that the incident was clear, that the light was observed for approximately 3-4 minutes, at which time the object faded from view. It was further stated the object was circular in shape and extremely bright, that no sound or exhaust was perceived, and that the object made an abrupt turnabout and accelerated from view.
