RIZUTTO, IST LT, USAF DETACHMENT #7 (TAKEO JAPAN) Information contained in this report concerns an unidentified radar target observed at Detachment #7 (TAER 14325), on 19 December 1952. Air Traffic: No other traffic being observed in the WALF area at the time except the reported target. Refraction through the strong inversion at 6000 feet, combined with ground clutter, may account for the unusual speeds reported. THERE WAS NO AIRCRAFT OR AIRCRAFT LIGHTS WERE SIGHTED THAT I COULD BE SURE THAT IT WAS ACTUALLY MOVING SINCE IT APPEARED AS A STATIONARY LIGHT. THERE WAS NO OTHER AIRCRAFT SIGHTED IN THE AREA WHICH COULD CONFIRM THE SIGHTING.
