This report covers the sighting of one (1) unidentified flying object at 1045, 27 February 1959, over the point NG 1070, AMS 1:500,000, San Diego Sheet, by two (2) naval aviators. Both pilots, members of VMF(AW) 513, MAG-15, were flying F4D aircraft. At 43,000 feet, the object was sighted visually. It left no trail nor exhaust features. d. Initial sighting of object was visual while flying at 39,000 feet, speed 250 knots, course 100°. c. Captain D'ANDREA first sighted the object and radioed the information of its location. e.
