Argentina reported disc saucer observation — June 8, 1962

The National Archives file numbered 8667478 is a compilation about Argentine reports in May and June 1962, not a single securely dated June 8 encounter. Its Project Blue Book record card identifies the Department of State as the source, lists various objects and marks the material insufficient for evaluation. The card also says no analysis of the supposed recovered object was available. The file mixes press clippings, embassy-related material, older photographs and different landing stories. One clipping describes small beings around a saucer on the Pampas; another places a rancher-and-wife report in La Pampa during May 20–26, with two robotlike figures and an alleged scorched circle. A July APRO discussion gives a more limited version involving the rancher’s wife near Speluzzi and one robotlike figure. These differences should remain visible rather than being merged into one precise scene. The inherited description also incorporates a Córdoba photographic episode from July 29, 1961, involving César Domingo La Padula, Ariel Kaplan and Raúl Narosky. That is a separate event. The archive’s inclusion of such material does not authenticate its contents or establish extraterrestrial occupants. The plate is therefore labeled as a contextual illustration of one ranch-landing press claim, dated only May–June 1962, while this catalogue record retains its original identity.
