Case description
Brazoria County deputies Billy McCoy and Robert Goode reported observing an unusual object near Damon, Texas, on September 3, 1965, around 11 p.m. The case is retained as Project Blue Book 9915 and appears in NICAP’s published source directory. Despite this Atlas record’s inherited CE 3 tag, the accessible report does not describe occupants or beings.
The deputies said a large dark-grey object approached their patrol car. The fuller account calls it triangular, rather than the disc of the compressed heading, with long purple and blue lights. They estimated a length of 150–200 feet and a thickness of 40–50 feet. Purple illumination reportedly reached the ground and car interior, while Goode felt heat on his arm. They drove away, then returned and reported seeing the object again.
Goode also associated the episode with relief from an earlier finger injury, but the available narrative does not supply clinical evidence of an extraordinary healing mechanism. Blue Book’s unresolved classification does not establish the object’s origin. The plate shows both deputies, the patrol car and reported lighted object, without adding aliens, windows containing figures or an unreported landing.
