The recovered Blue Book packet concerns a fifty-year-old male county-park guard describing a night encounter at Churchville, New York. The record card lists 12 August 1967, while his correspondence repeatedly says only August 1967. His January 1968 letter places it around 22:00 while driving into a dark park parking lot. The imported 7 April date is not supported by these scanned pages and appears in an unreliable machine transcription. The guard said his truck headlights illuminated a saucer-like object approximately fifty feet long and six feet high, with a rounded central section tapering toward its ends and small green, cat’s-eye-like lights. Two short figures ran across the beams toward it. He described shiny black, rubberlike suits covering them from head to foot, without dependable facial details. They entered an opening whose panel closed behind them. He then reported a hissing sound, a discharge from the rear and a rapid vertical departure. These are the witness’s descriptions, not established technical specifications. He said he informed the sheriff’s department and told his foreman, and described torn pavement whose relationship to the object he could not establish. Later aerial sightings mentioned in the questionnaire were not independent observations of the figures in the parking lot. Air Force correspondence followed his appeal to President Johnson; the completed questionnaire is dated 10 February 1968.
