Case description
Two women wrote from Bell’s Corners, Ontario, about an unusual orange appearance on 29 October 1964. Their letter, addressed to the Director General of Operations at Canadian Forces Headquarters, gives 01:15 as the first observation time. A brilliant orange form remained visible for approximately forty-five seconds, then disappeared abruptly, compared to a candle being extinguished.
They said it reappeared roughly ninety seconds later in a changed position, now crescent-shaped with orange fading into yellow. Further appearances lasted about thirty to forty-five seconds, differing in colour and apparent size. A later position seemed close to their apartment building; after returning indoors, they still felt that it had followed them and closed the curtains. That impression does not establish actual pursuit. Each visible appearance was described as stationary, without a halo, tail, sparks or continuous movement.
The letter refers to an enclosed sketch, but the isolated recovered page does not include it. Exact angular size, elevation, distance, weather and physical structure therefore remain uncertain. There is no description of occupants, a landing or recovered material, and no identification is supplied on this page. The plate selects one crescent-like appearance with the two representative observers at a window, avoiding a simultaneous arrangement of all reported positions or a detailed spacecraft.
