Case description
At about 10:20 p.m. on 27 September 1968, Frederick Psoch and his wife reportedly observed a low object while travelling by car approximately five miles north of Anola, Manitoba, near Highways 12 and 15. Although the imported record is titled Great Falls, the primary telex identifies Great Falls as the couple's home community, rather than their observing location. Psoch worked for the telephone company.
Under cloudy skies, the witnesses described a shadowy, round, flat object, greyish in colour, with turning lights. They estimated its diameter as ten to fifteen yards and its altitude as forty to fifty feet. It appeared to follow telephone lines and the couple's vehicle. The reported observation lasted twenty to twenty-five minutes, with the impression that it followed their car for approximately twenty miles.
The Beausejour detachment's information was relayed through RCMP Winnipeg and forwarded to Canadian military and research channels. These messages preserve the witnesses' estimates; they do not supply instrument measurements of size, speed, height or the apparent following behaviour. No landing, recovered material or occupant description appears in the recovered pages. The illustration consequently keeps the object's body as an indistinct flat grey shadow and avoids adding domes, interior windows or beings that the witnesses did not report.
