A North Bay message records a visual report from Montréal-Nord, Québec, at 02:15Z on 13 August 1970. The named caller, J. Chalifoux, was the sole observer identified. The UTC date should be retained carefully because the corresponding local evening began on the preceding calendar day. The report says the appearance had been seen for the third time that evening, but does not supply the length or precise timing of each view. Chalifoux described a bright object followed by a purple light, moving very fast from east to west about a thousand feet above the buildings. A ticking sound was reported. That height and speed were visual estimates. The message gives no body shape, dimensions, windows, occupants or interaction, and does not establish whether the two lights belonged to one object or separate sources.
