Case description
Barbara Alice Reynolds reported an unusual light-bearing form over Falmouth, Nova Scotia, at approximately 19:10 on 6 November 1973. Her twelve-year-old son noticed it first. Her other sons, ten and eight, and her in-laws, Mr and Mrs Curtis Sanford, also reportedly watched after being alerted. The sky was described as very clear, with the object estimated a quarter-mile from the Gabriel Road home and about one hundred feet high.
The observers compared its oval shape to a bathtub and described two reddish lights shining downward. Their brightness alternated, one growing brighter as the other dimmed. An estimated five-foot diameter was given without binoculars or a telescope. It reportedly remained stationary for twenty minutes, travelled northeast toward Avondale, returned southwest toward Windsor, paused briefly and continued southwest until lost. A light green glow was reported during movement, with no sound.
Police interviewed Reynolds and checked local businesses for possible helicopter or light-aircraft activity; those enquiries produced no explanation. The narrative and earlier telex differ in how they summarize the final travel direction, so the detailed sequence is retained without asserting a measured course. No occupants or landing were described. The plate selects the initial stationary phase with the six reported observers, two reddish lights and no green moving-phase glow. It does not borrow figures or craft details from other November Falmouth cases.
