Case description
Two women were associated with a sighting from a Lawrencetown residence on 23 September 1976. In an October follow-up, the principal observer told the Dartmouth RCMP that it began at approximately 21:00 Atlantic Daylight Time. Looking south over the Atlantic, she noticed a very bright light. She described the sky as clear but said no stars were visible at the time. Another woman who had been at the same residence confirmed witnessing the event.
The first observer described the appearance as flat on top, rounded at the sides and bright or fiery underneath. She said it rose from the direction of the sky and ocean on three separate occasions. After roughly ten minutes it ascended and continued out of sight, without leaving a trail or making an audible sound. The report does not establish an actual emergence from the water, a measured distance, a physical size or a metallic surface.
Police contacted the principal observer on 4 October and prepared a memorandum dated 8 October. The second woman could add no further descriptive information. The surviving paperwork records their accounts but supplies no recovered object, instrument track or definitive identification. Neither woman described figures, windows or communication, despite the imported entity label. The illustration therefore treats the object as a distant luminous form above the sea, showing the two observers together and preserving the flat upper contour and fiery lower glow without inventing detailed spacecraft construction.
