Canada reported unidentified aerial event — 1967-08-28 — Surrey, BC

The Canadian file concerns two reports from Roy Wiks and his parents at their Surrey home in August and September 1967. A military interviewer visited the family and compared their statements and independently prepared sketches. The observations were made from the back of a house near a busy highway, looking toward the Port Mann Bridge area, with nearby commercial lighting also present. In the first observation, associated with August 28, a bright, sharply outlined object with smaller red lights reportedly descended rapidly, hovered near another house, illuminated the surroundings, and moved laterally before fading out. It was described as approximately the apparent size of the full Moon and visible for about three minutes. No sound was heard. The second observation involved two luminous objects, apparently larger than the first, moving slowly toward the bridge and disappearing like lights being switched off. Sketches and testimony differ over blue, red, green, amber, and white lighting and an apparent downward light. The investigator considered the family to have seen something unexplained, while noting disagreements among the accounts and possible effects of viewing conditions. Neither main report establishes an occupant, landed craft, or interaction with beings. The imported entity classification should not override that absence.
