Case description

This record concerns the second of two reports by Roy Wiks and his family in Surrey, British Columbia, rather than a Vancouver-city encounter. The military telex records 21 September 1967 at 06:20 Z, corresponding to the previous local evening. From their back doorway near King George Highway, the family looked toward the Port Mann Bridge, roughly three miles away. An earlier August sighting is discussed in the same investigation but remains separate. The September telex describes two identical saucer-shaped objects arriving together and hovering above the bridge. Each reportedly had a central underside hemisphere, bluish portholes and changing red-orange-yellow/amber light. They remained visible for three or four minutes, then disappeared as though their lights had been switched off. A later military interview report describes luminous white outlines and records Roy's drawing with a top dome, coloured rim lights and a downward white cone. His parents' independently drawn shapes differ substantially. Those conflicting versions should not be fused into one supposedly exact craft design. The 31 October investigation considered wholesale fabrication unlikely, but explicitly noted differences between the initial messages, newspaper account, interview and drawings. It suggested that some detail could reflect Roy's imagination or his parents' visual limitations, while concluding that the family had seen something unexplained. That is a qualified investigator assessment, not confirmation of extraterrestrial vehicles. No occupants appear in any recovered description. The plate follows the initial underside-hemisphere telex and labels the disagreement with later sketches.
