Case description
This catalogue entry gives 12 October 1968, but the recovered RCMP page explicitly labels the relevant sheep-checking observation 12 October 1967. Shortly after 21:00, a man on barren high ground north of Truro saw a yellow or orange light moving slowly south. He described a cluster of reddish lights lasting about ten minutes. The report identifies him as a Nova Scotia Teachers College faculty member; his name is redacted.
The same page separately describes a railway employee’s observation on 25 October 1967 near the Wentworth Valley ski lodge. He reported an acorn-shaped, steel-grey object with two large upward-pointing wings, estimated at 150–200 feet across. It allegedly followed the train for eight to ten miles. Three approaching jets were seen, but the witness only presumed their crews saw the object. A follow-up mentions blue light between the wings.
The damaged catalogue OCR has mixed these adjacent accounts. The orange light does not belong automatically to the acorn-shaped object, and neither account describes occupants. The plate visibly divides the nighttime sheep observation from the daytime railway report. Both the year conflict and the separation of witnesses remain explicit; the native catalogue date is preserved rather than silently corrected.
