(DPT) LOIRET (45) 11.11.1979

On 1 December 1979, the gendarmerie learned from the press that residents of one locality had seen 'craft' or 'objects' moving above Mareau-aux-Bois on 11 November 1979 at about 18:45. The objects were described as round, with an upper dome and colored flashing lights. Eight witnesses supplied brief accounts. The gendarmerie found a ninth witness who reported a separate sighting over Courcy-aux-Loges on 25 November 1979 at 21:30. Because of the delay between the events and their disclosure, the gendarmerie could make no direct findings. No further information was obtained, and data remain insufficient.
