Case description
At about 10:30 p.m. on 12 March 1967, Clyde L. Dwyer reportedly watched a large object from a window of his South Glens Falls home. HUMCAT's fuller contemporary-source summary estimates it at one hundred feet across, hovering roughly 175–200 yards southwest of the house. A nearby streetlamp illuminated its dark surface; other summaries describe a gunmetal-grey shape resembling a child's musical top.
Three large square windows were spaced around its middle and emitted white light. Dwyer said that two men and a woman were visible through the central window, with two more men at the window to the right. He could not distinguish individual features, but considered the figures human-looking. Below the windows, steam-like jets appeared to issue continuously from regularly spaced points around the object.
After remaining in view for approximately five minutes, the object gradually departed toward the southwest. No sound was reported. HUMCAT cites the Post-Star, a March 1967 NICAP report form and inquiry by Richard Bonenfant; NICAP's shorter account cites the Glens Falls Times of 14 March. These source references document a specific witness account, while the estimated dimensions, occupants and unusual vapour remain reported observations rather than independently measured facts.
