1994-11-10 — BOURRIOT-BERGONCE

After 8 p.m. on November 10, 1994, a child riding in the rear of a car on a rural road near Bourriot-Bergonce reported an intense green light through the treetops to the east, followed by a nearby luminous point. The object appeared to accelerate, change direction abruptly and disappear northward. No particular noise was heard. The witness reported the event in 2010. No additional testimony was collected. GEIPAN considered a bright meteor or atmospheric reentry compatible with the colour and speed, but the reported turn was problematic. A second meteor appearing as the first ended was suggested as a possible explanation. Given the delay and the nature of the observation, the archive considered further retrospective inquiry unlikely to add information.
