On August 6, 1998, at about 10:40 p.m., a man listening to music in a car saw a luminous form move rapidly from south to north. The observation lasted fifteen to twenty seconds. Inquiries with aviation authorities identified an airliner passage and an unidentified radar track at the reported time; the end of the radar track corresponded to the observation's timing. There was no conclusive proof, but investigators considered an aircraft the probable explanation.
