Around 02:00 on the night of 4–5 February 2000, a driver in Saint-André-de-Cubzac saw a luminous ball move slowly and stop above a wood. It was silent and, according to the witness, about 200 m away at an altitude of 150 m. The sighting lasted about 30–40 seconds. No further information could be collected.
