2004-09-17 — LAFRANCAISE

On September 17, 2004, a motorist on the D78 between Molières and Lafrançaise noticed a powerful light in the sky. Buildings interrupted her view as she passed through Lafrançaise. On leaving the village, overlooking the plain, she saw what appeared to be a stationary object and stopped at a bend. She described a round, motionless object with two strong headlights, each flanked by several smaller lights. Concerned about obstructing traffic, she moved her car. When she looked up again, the object was gone. Only one account was collected. The archive described the stationary appearance and disappearance as unusual; it provides no established explanation.
