On 4 October 2005, GEIPAN was alerted by a gendarme at Blagnac airport to a sighting dated 29 September 2005 in the title. He had seen a curious object moving at the end of a runway, shaped like a boomerang. He considered a remote-controlled craft, but its high-speed disappearance surprised him. No other account was collected. GEIPAN finds the report highly credible, carefully expressed in precise, objective terms and reflecting the witness's professionalism. It judges the unusualness moderate: although the craft apparently had no reason to be there, its performance remained compatible with a high-performance remote-controlled aircraft. Its initial pendulum-like movement could have been into the wind, followed by rapid travel downwind. The description suggests certain drone models, uncommon at the time. However, the age of the account prevents verification. The case is classified as C because the drone hypothesis is insufficiently substantiated.
