Case description
David Morris, twenty, was driving home from work at Kent's Lamb Electric Company early on March 28, 1967. The contemporary APRO account places the sighting around 2:20 a.m., in thick fog following a storm. An orange-red glow first suggested a burning house. Beyond a rise on Munroe Falls Road, he reportedly saw a translucent cone hovering above a wheat field, about twenty-five feet high and twelve feet across its base, with a small ball at its apex.
Looking back to the roadway, Morris saw four, possibly five, stocky figures under four feet tall moving rapidly across his path. Their heads looked abnormally large, although he could not tell whether they wore helmets. They glowed like the object. He braked but reportedly struck one, glimpsing a mitten-like hand without distinct fingers. After stopping briefly, he drove away frightened.
Morris later showed dents and scratches on the car's chrome trim. A return visit reportedly found skid marks but no footprints or field evidence establishing the craft's presence. The damage supports that the car was damaged, not what caused it. APRO specifically says its engine and lights functioned normally. The plate depicts the moments before the alleged collision, without injury, and leaves the heads-or-helmets distinction unresolved.
