SAVIGNE-SUR-LATHAN (37) 29.07.2007

In May 2008, a witness reported that on 29 July 2007 at about 20:00, they and several other people at Savigné-sur-Lathan had seen a dark ball mottled with irregular pale patches pass across the sky. The sphere had a protrusion at the front and followed a straight course from west to southeast. During the roughly 30-second observation, no sound was heard and no smoke was seen. GEIPAN considers a balloon probable, but the time elapsed since the sighting prevents any hypothesis from being checked.
