CHARNY-SUR-MEUSE (55) 15.08.2007

On the night of 15 August 2007 between 23:25 and 23:45, a witness saw an unusual phenomenon in a clear sky. A dark metallic-gray object surrounded by an orange halo and trailing streaks crossed from east to northwest during a 6-second sighting, then abruptly disappeared. No sound was heard. Its description and duration were consistent with a probable atmospheric entry.
