MOUSSY (51) 26.09.2007

On 26 September 2007 at 07:30, 2 people in Moussy saw an intensely luminous oval form in a cloudy sky to the southeast, estimating its height at about 100 m. Initially stationary, it began rising slowly and vertically from 09:15 and disappeared around 11:00. One witness saw it again on 27 September. The source states that the object was identified as Venus, particularly visible at that time of year at magnitude −4.31. The September 2007 issue of Sciences et Vie confirmed the astronomical information cited.
