On 2 October 2007 at midnight, a witness was surprised to see a red light moving horizontally across the sky at very high speed. The observation lasted a few seconds, with no sound heard. GEIPAN found that the description and duration supported a probable atmospheric entry. The source title gives 2 November 2007 rather than 2 October.
