MAUZE-SUR-LE-MIGNON (79) 20.04.2008

On 20 or 27 April 2008 at 20:44, a motorist in Mauzé-sur-le-Mignon photographed an intriguing luminous phenomenon from inside his vehicle. The photograph reached GEIPAN through someone who had not witnessed it directly. GEIPAN considers it very probably a reflection of the Sun in the windscreen and/or camera lens, together with sunlit water droplets on the windscreen. It regards photographs showing flare and various reflections as having no unusual character. The account is too brief, and the direct witness did not describe what he had seen with his own eyes. The case is classified C for insufficient information: no original photograph and no direct account. The title lists 20 April, but the narrative leaves the day uncertain.
