Case description
In this Ceillac case dated 29 June 2008, a witness sent a photograph showing something he had not noticed while taking it. The image contains a gray trail behind a point of light. GEIPAN considers the pronounced blur suggestive of an object passing rapidly very close to the lens, probably an insect briefly illuminated by the camera flash. The EXIF metadata confirms that the flash fired. The case is classified B: a probable flash photograph of an insect.
