On Sunday, 20 July 2008 at 22:12, a driver and his passenger spent 1 minute watching an intriguing shape move slowly and silently. The elongated, matte light-gray object had 2 large tail surfaces, made a loop and disappeared westward. The witness took 2 photographs with his mobile phone. No other accounts were collected, and no unusual aerial activity was reported in that area. GEIPAN considered the gendarmerie investigation's conclusion credible: an airliner making a sharp turn to line up with the runways at Roissy–Charles de Gaulle International Airport.
