On Sunday 15 February 2009 at about 20:00, 2 people in a car saw an orange ball of light move fairly rapidly and vanish after a few seconds.
GEIPAN considered a possible link to the Hautefort case that day about 30 minutes earlier. However, the witness did not complete a questionnaire, leaving too little detail to conclude. A meteoroid fireball is probable, but even its direction of travel is missing.
