On 21 September 2009, a driver in La Roche-sur-Yon twice saw a yellow point of light moving in the sky. GEIPAN did not receive the questionnaire until February 2011. There was no gendarmerie report or preliminary investigation. GEIPAN found the single, sparsely detailed account insufficient for a conclusion: the phenomena were very brief, seen while driving at night through the window of a moving car, and appeared very low at road level. Reflections of vehicle headlights or streetlights were possible. GEIPAN rates the evidence as weak and the account as having no unusual features. The unexplained case is classified C because information is insufficient and an investigation is not possible.
