MORSANG-SUR-ORGE (91) 27.12.2009

On 27 December 2009 at 01:00, a witness at his window saw an intense, steady green light pass rapidly from south to northeast. The sighting lasted a few seconds, and no sound was noticed. It had all the characteristics of a meteoroid entering the atmosphere, also called a fireball: a straight path across the sky within seconds and a green color. The event was not recorded by the REFORME observer network. GEIPAN classified the case B as a probable meteoroid atmospheric entry, described in the source as a meteorite fall.
