TOURS (37) 31.10.2012

On 23 July 2015, a witness reported a sighting in Tours (37) on 31 October 2012 at 19:50. An orange ball moved silently south to north at a fairly slow speed on a straight path. He filmed it. No other account was collected. GEIPAN finds an orange ball crossing in a few minutes strongly suggestive of a sky lantern, especially on Halloween and the eve of a public holiday. The video, publicly available on YouTube for a time, is compatible with this scenario. The case is classified B: probable sky lantern.
