On 29 December 2012 at 13:05, 2 people in a car noticed 8–10 white lights through the windscreen in a clear sky. No sound was heard during the observation. Only 1 account was collected, with several mobile-phone photographs. The images show various forms of differing brightness. The witness did not specify which of these artifacts were visible to the naked eye. The annotated photograph shows reflections in the camera optics or windscreen. GEIPAN considers that windscreen reflections were probably seen directly, with additional surprising effects discovered later in the images. Facing south in a car around solar noon near the winter solstice provides ideal conditions for multiple sunlight reflections in glass or phone optics. GEIPAN classifies the case B: sunlight reflections seen through the windscreen.
