SAINT-CYR-SUR-LOIRE (37) 23.04.2013

On 23 April 2013 in Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire (37), a witness reported at 21:42 a light near the Moon moving vertically at constant speed until it disappeared at an estimated 300 m above ground. GEIPAN found the account strongly suggestive of the International Space Station (ISS). Calsky and Heavens-Above confirmed a pass, but 5 minutes earlier. Asked about the discrepancy, the witness confirmed by email that his clock was 5 minutes fast. The case is classified A: ISS observation. Appendices provide Calsky's predictions for that evening and a simulation from the witness's viewpoint.
