DOMANCY (74) 11.05.2013

On Saturday 11 May 2013 at 23:45 in Domancy (74), a motorist and his son saw about 40 red balls moving silently through the sky. GEIPAN finds the account suggestive of sky lanterns at a typical date and time, and calls the size and distance estimates very inaccurate, as it says often occurs. After a newspaper report, a person told the gendarmerie that he had released sky lanterns over Domancy that evening at his wedding celebration. GEIPAN classifies the case A: fully identified sky lanterns.
