On Sunday 2 June 2013 at 22:59, a witness saw an orange ball pass silently and took a photograph. GEIPAN considers straight movement late on a weekend evening suggestive of a sky lantern, and the photographs fully consistent. Météociel records a light northerly wind, whereas the witness described northeast-to-southwest movement; local geographical effects could explain the difference. Reached by telephone, the witness said he had subsequently seen sky lanterns on 14 July and recognized the same type of object. The case is classified A: sky lantern.
