MOTTE-SERVOLEX (LA) (73) 06.06.2013

On 6 June 2013 at 08:50 in La Motte-Servolex (73), a witness walking in the street saw an oval object rotate while remaining stationary in a sunny sky. The narrative calls it beige and grey; the summary says beige and black. No particular sound was heard during 6 minutes. Another person also saw it, but only 1 account was collected. GEIPAN finds the stationary but rotating shape strongly suggestive of a tethered helium balloon, probably a novelty or advertising balloon. The case is classified B: probable tethered novelty balloon.
