[A62] de VALENCE-D'AGEN (82) vers TOULOUSE (31) 11.08.2013

Around 07:00 on 11 August 2013, a driver and passenger on the A62 between Agen and Toulouse, in the case titled Valence-d'Agen towards Toulouse, watched a stationary-looking white point in the northeastern sky for about 20 minutes. Two white trails behind it formed a triangle without a base. Their car eventually moved past its apparent position and they lost sight of it. Only 1 account was collected. GEIPAN considered the account precise and well supported, despite no photographs or video, and the observation very low in strangeness because its appearance and behaviour were ordinary. The investigation considered weather conditions governing formation or non-formation of high-altitude condensation and similarities to photographed cases under the same conditions; see the report. It classified the case A: confirmed observation of an airliner with short contrails.
