PIAN-MEDOC (LE) (33) 06.09.2013

On 9 September 2013 at 22:02 or 22:03, a witness watched several white lights for 5 seconds. They moved silently in straight lines through a cloudy sky, then rotated counterclockwise and disappeared. Only 1 account was collected. White circles apparently projected on clouds and moving in circles suggest a nightclub searchlight display. GEIPAN notes that Friday at about 22:00 is typical for such advertising. However, no nightclub appeared to be within 10 km; venues near Bordeaux were 12 km away and towards Blaye 18 km away, far for clearly visible projections. Despite the strong resemblance to a skyrose searchlight, no further account or corroboration was available. GEIPAN classifies the case C for lack of information.
