On Thursday 3 October 2013 at 19:40, a witness in Plélo (22) saw 2 steady points of light traveling silently, symmetrically and at the same speed. Their star-like appearance and continuous straight passage strongly suggest 2 satellites. Calsky showed the Chinese Yaogan17 observation-satellite triplet on a matching path at the same time. It had launched on 1 September 2013. Normally faint at magnitude 5–6, these satellites may become brighter when oriented favorably to reflect sunlight; the source refers to a video of other Yaogan satellites. This could explain seeing only 2 of the 3. GEIPAN classifies the case B: very probable Yaogan satellites.
