VIENNE-EN-ARTHIES (95) 16.10.2013

On 16 October 2013 at 18:00, a scooter rider returning to Vienne-en-Arthies (95) stopped and saw a dark oval above the trees, initially stationary and then moving slowly. Photographs were taken before it disappeared suddenly. The reference photograph is certainly inauthentic (see the detailed report), leaving extremely low credibility and evidential support despite an apparently sincere narrative. GEIPAN therefore did not pursue further investigation. The case is classified B: probable hoax. The sighting may have been real, but the photograph is certainly not authentic.
