On 15 December 2013 at 23:00, a witness looking at the clear sky from his terrace saw a stationary, colored luminous phenomenon. He watched it for several hours with the naked eye and binoculars. No particular sound was heard, and only 1 account was collected. The stationary point of light corresponded to Jupiter, shining brightly in the eastern evening sky. The color changes seen through binoculars were due partly to atmospheric turbulence (scintillation) and partly to the binocular optics, through which a white point of light generally appears iridescent. GEIPAN classified the case A as an observation of Jupiter.
