ESPERAZA (11) 22.12.2013

On 22 December 2013 at 01:30 in Espéraza (11), a witness in his doorway saw 2 very bright vivid-orange balls move silently in a straight line south to north. A third identical ball passed over his house and rose rapidly. He went to higher ground above the village to look for it but saw nothing more. GEIPAN finds bright orange balls crossing with the southerly wind on a Saturday-to-Sunday night strongly suggestive of sky lanterns, probably released after a party in southern Espéraza; see the weather record. The case is classified B: probable sky lanterns.
