On 22 February 2014 at 20:10, a witness saw a very bright green light with an orange trail cross the sky in 3–4 seconds.
GEIPAN considers it very probably a fireball caused by a meteoroid entering the atmosphere. The press reported the event in ‘They saw the meteorite in the sky’, but no other witness submitted an account to GEIPAN. BOAM listed no detection, although France was cloud-covered except in the southeast.
The case is classified B: probable meteoroid atmospheric entry, described in the source as a meteorite fall.
