On 10 March 2014 between 19:30 and 19:45, a motorist traveling at 110 km/h on the A63 saw a black tubular object against the blue sky. Its proportions resembled a fairly thick fountain pen. A small green light below it appeared to accompany its straight-line movement. No particular sound was heard during the continuous observation of less than 3 seconds, also specified as 1–2 seconds. Landscape features then blocked the view. No other account was reported. The object traveled against the prevailing wind and looked compatible with an aircraft seen side-on. However, its steady green light did not fit an aircraft traveling in that direction. The available evidence therefore does not allow a straightforward identification. Its aircraft-like appearance and straight path give the sighting relatively low strangeness. Its brevity, single account and the witness's driving weaken evidential support.
