CLESSE (71) 20.03.2014

On Thursday 20 March 2014 around 22:45 in Clessé (71), 2 people saw 3 orange lights move silently but rapidly in formation, then disappear one after another. Only 1 account was collected. GEIPAN finds orange lights crossing in a few minutes with a light southerly wind strongly suggestive of sky lanterns; see the evening weather record. Releases usually occur on Saturdays or Sundays, but spring or carnival could have occasioned a local celebration. Clessé town hall had received no report of such an event. GEIPAN classifies the case B: probable sky lanterns.
