FERE-EN-TARDENOIS (02) 01.06.2014

On 1 June 2014 at 23:00, a witness saw 3 points of light cross the sky silently at very high speed. The description is typical of a fireball and leaves little doubt about that interpretation. Strangeness and evidential support are moderate, with a single witness. A meteor is the probable explanation. An amateur network recorded a meteor at a nearby time, but its trajectory did not match. An independent online account nevertheless closely resembles this sighting. The case is classified B: probable fireball. A sighting at Étrelles (35) occurred within a few minutes; see that case.
